A number of Indian universities and institutions have reached the list for 2022
The 2022 World University Rankings by Subject for physical sciences, biological sciences, psychology, and clinical and health sciences have been issued by Times Higher Education (THE). More than 1,600 universities from 99 countries have been ranked in at least one field, according to a statement released by THE. In the Physical Sciences category, the University of California receives first position, while Harvard University takes first place in the Life Sciences area.
The University of Cambridge and the University of Oxford, respectively, have topped the list of THE Rankings by Subject 2022 for Psychology and Clinical and Health. A number of Indian colleges and institutes are included in THE Rankings by Subject 2022. The lone newcomer to the top 100 for Clinical and Health is India’s JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research, which is ranked 93rd. In THE Subject Rankings by Subject 2022 for Clinical and Health, Banaras Hindu University (BHU) is ranked 251-300. Aligarh Muslim University is in the 601+ category, while Jamia Hamdard is in the 501-600 range.
THE World University Rankings by Subject 2022 does not publish individual rankings beyond 100, but instead lists institutions in brackets. In the Life Sciences category, the Indian Institute of Science is ranked 176-200, BITS Pilani is ranked 251-300, Alagappa University is ranked 401-500, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) and Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) are both ranked 401-500. Banaras Hindu University (BHU), University of Delhi (DU), and Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) are among the top 501-600 universities in India. IIT Gandhinagar is placed 301-400 in the Physical Sciences category. IIT Indore and JMI were likewise placed in the 401-500 group in the Subject 2022 Rankings.
With a ranking in the 401-500 category, only Delhi University (DU) made the list for Psychology. The Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings by Subject 2020 presents a list of the world’s best universities for studying Physical Sciences, Life Sciences, Psychology, Clinical and Health Sciences. This year’s ranking was determined by analysing over 108 million citations from over 14.4 million research articles, as well as survey responses from over 22,000 academics from around the world. Over 430,000 datapoints were gathered from over 2,100 universities that provided information.
THE World University Rankings noted that this year’s league table, which is generally trusted by students, instructors, governments, and industry professionals, “demonstrates how the Covid-19 pandemic has begun to effect worldwide higher education outcomes.” Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has been ranked in the 251-300 Rank ranges for Clinical and Health in THE World University Rankings 2022 by Subject. Aligarh Muslim University has a score of 601+, while Jamia Hamdard is ranked between 501 and 600. JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research, which is placed 93, is the only Indian institution to make its debut in the top 100 rankings for Clinical and Health.
The Indian Institute of Science (IISc, Bangalore) is ranked 176-200, followed by BITS Pilani, Alagappa University, Aligarh Muslim University, and Jamia Millia Islam (JMI), and then the University of Delhi (DU), followed by the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in the 501-600 bracket.
